70 degrees this morning kinda foggy with a high of 86 today. A nice light show to our west last night but no rain . Interstate is open this morning so no two hour plus trip this morning just a little over an hour now. Good morning

First cup of coffee poured. 62° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 86° with partly cloudy skies all day. Never got the lawn cut. Back on the to do list today. Spent way to many hours on phone tying to resolve problems with AT&T and Comcast. AT&T is finally fixed. Comcast may never get completely fixed. Wish I had other options for phone, internet and cable in this area.
Jinman, good to hear about paving of your road. After living on a gravel road for over 40 years. Our house siding shows it. Living with the windows closed and hepa filters 24/7 is not the way to live. Our house is 100' away from the road. Thanks goodness for wind and rain that removes most of the dust. Road is chlorided. But that only helps so much.
Good Morning All.

Up early this fine morning!

62 right now, a high of 75 predicted.

Well, the job search isn't going well at all, I'm afraid. Vermont is not a hotbed of manufacturing and no matter where I end up, it'll be a pay cut plus more travel time. The pay cut wouldn't be a disaster since we live fairly inexpensively, but that 4 mile run to the foundry did spoil me. At best, I'll be 20-25 miles to any job...and possibly much further.

Good luck Roy, just know that the job market in that area is limited! Few more places down on the NH boarder!

Here is a photo of the paving equip: 2 rollers, a chip spreader, a wheel loader, and a chip brush/blade used to smooth out the chips before the tar truck makes a pass. I told the supervisor that they could use my frontage to park equipment because the ROW is too narrow. Chip and tar is probably not as good as asphalt, but on our low-traffic road, it should be fine by stopping the dust and giving us a very smooth surface with no washboarding or potholes.

David (sadamo) nice job on the addition, good luck finishing it. I did the garage door for my back shed (20X20) 20 years ago and no problems yet :).

Jinman congrats on the chip and seal paving my in-laws got upgraded from gravel to the chip and seal and it held up well so far (10 years?).

I have been trending up on the blood sugar levels as well so watching for the low sugar thread :)

Jim, in our county we still have some old Chip and Tar county roads that glisten in the sun ..almost look pure white after the tar on top wears off...they are some tough roads and do not chip and fall apart like Asphalt...they are usually thicker than Asphalt...I think you will be real happy with the function and the looks...

A few more summer days, then some early fall weather late week looks like. We're headed to Southern Shores (Outer Banks) in the morning for a week, so I'll sporadic on here. Have a good weekend all.
