Was 49 degrees when I got up this morning darn nearly started a fire in the wood stove!
Big day for my wife, daughters bridal shower with about 40 women showing up!
No guys permitted so son and I Will head to Harbor Freight for the sidewalk sale!

I'm headed to Richmond to go do a round of shooting clays and have lunch with an old friend I used to work with.

After that I'll be doing something I'm sure and trying to take my teen daughters shoe shopping later.

I was going to try to get out to the ranch and service the tractor or just get some seat time, but... it is so complicated...

Poured first cup of coffee. 52° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 81° with lots of sun all day. Heading to my mothers place. Continuing cleanup and disposal of her belongings.
Apple crop on our few trees is over done. Been putting supports under branches to keep them from breaking. Even with the supports, branches are breaking off. Got 2 to clean up this afternoon. Crop is so good all around my area. The deer are not coming around to cleanup dropped apples.
Drew, get the shower head first. You will be surprised how well it works.

Good morning all. Absolutely gorgeous morning, about sixty degrees now, going up to 81.
Have to clean the motorhome today, then get it put away at its spot at a local public storage. Outside, which I sure don't like, but I don't have any other options.

But first it's off to the farm and picking almost five days worth of veggies, so I'm taking the big buckets for the tomatoes.
And peppers, hot peppers out the ears. I thought one long green one was just a thin sweet pepper. I spit that out and had to flush my mouth out in a panic, like I drank acid. Probably will get an entire bucket of them today. Boy folk sure like getting them, like being given a package of illegal cherry bombs and being told to have fun...

Ron, I'm ordering the shower head today. Thanks.

Never get between a woman and a shoe box...
Ok, maybe not FarmGirl, but I bet she has a pair of stilettos in there somewhere. Crazy inventions women's shoes.
No relation to function, all form. And you ever see the thickness of the heel pad? Looks like it would last about a week.

There's another thread on trivia that is very interesting, and just makes me wonder...what is Farm Girl's favorite pair of shoes?

So David, going shoe shopping with your teen daughters is a seriously good idea. But if you hover in the women's shoe dept, well, maybe you should take a walk...and come back. Unless your daughters really want your advice, which is unlikely when it comes to fashion, your job is to bring the credit card. Like a man... I'm sorry, so non pc...

You are also correct about me not being *that* into shoes. I am not into shopping of any sort, unless it involves the tractor or livestock, and in those venues, I'd be happy to spend someone else's money!

57 this morning with a high of 80 today no rain and low humidity. Son is home for weekend then off to start new grad school but not as far away this time. He transferred after one year back to Virginia. Moving into new apartment Wednesday of this coming week. This year and next then he's out on his own. Off to look for new work then mow my brains out. Good morning all

You remind me a lot of my mom. She's 90, lives alone, works in our shop 5 days a week, drives like a bat out of Hades, hates to shop, use to drag race, hoed and picked cotton from about 4 years old, can still cut a complicated piece of furniture and sew a straight seam, raised me from 12 when my dad died suddenly on my brother's 18th birthday, can quote the scripture chapter and verse and cuss like a sailor! She'd rather ride in a dump truck than a limo, forgot more than I'll ever know, kicked the great depressions az$ and then volunteered as a sky watcher in WW II. If she ain't busy, she's mad.
