good morning all. Foggy out at the moment but it will burn off.
Big day today....
the motorhome is packed, sitting in front of our house, with the last stuff to go in this morning.
then we are off to Lake in Wood rv campground, a large nice place about two hours west of us in the PA Dutch country.
Easy drive out the turnpike, and YES, I will stay out of the right lane in construction, once bitten, ten times learned.
Even if we just sit in the woods on our rocking chairs outside under the awning, that's enough for us at this point. Nadene can't walk any more, needs either crutches or a wheel chair, so basically I am doing everything, and let's say I'm a bit tired at this point. But excited, and we will motor slowly out the turnpike, annoying the fast movers, and we will get there just fine. We will cook steaks on our little portable gas grill and I bought a bottle of champagne which my wife loves.
Luckily they have a fleet of golf carts to rent so we reserved one for two days for exploration. Nadene is/was a great golfer and is happy in a golf cart so once I get her in that, I think she'll be gone exploring the whole place. It's big, lots of things to gawk at. And we asked for the quietest spot in the park so hopefully the guy next to us will not be a fan of
Led Zeppelin. Showing my age on that one, huh?
Got most of the fields mowed, so i can leave and not worry about the farm. All the veggies are picked, and I have a big quart bag of freshly picked strawberries, raspberries and blackberries to go on top of my ice cream tonight. Nadene can have the champagne, I'll take the berries. And on that note, have a lovely day. Will have the laptop and hope to post some pictures over the next few days. Nadene eating ice cream cone. Drew running for his life with bear in hot pursuit...
