my kubota backhoe cylinders are leaking; do I need to rebuild them,or just replace seals,or are these procedures the same thing? my mechanical skills are good but time is a factor. do you think a professonal is best bet

stretch them out and check the condition of the chrome rods and while they are stretched out give the rod/barrel a side to side pull and see if there is some slop in the gland area

This will give you an indication a pro is best if you have slop in gland and/or marks on the rod (new rod made)

otherwise repacking is pretty straight forward (clean, polish, clean, flush, clean, repack, clean, reassemble)

thanks !! wdchyd,I'lltry that . rods look pretty good what is the gland area sounds like the end of cylinder where seals are? If people knewwhat was really important in life tere would be a shortage of fishing poles
