Mahindra 6000 2WD steering fluid leaks

My Mahindra 6000 2wd leak steering fluid at the steering column, right under the steering wheel. Any body have/had this problem before??? Thanks in advance for any infor on this.

Not all that uncommon among tractors with hydrostatic steering. It is usually a small leak and can be corrected by tightening the connection. Be careful not to overtighten it, though.

Yes just bought a used 6000 2WD with same problem and when I removed the top from the steering box I let the shaft come up off the bottom and now I can' get it to set all the way back down. I plan to put a seal kit in it but can't even find a dealer that has access to a diagram so I can be sure I have it down in the body correctly before reassembly. Any info on a diagram would be very helpful.

The kit is about $40 at a mahindra dealer! It's most likely the seal in the top of the pump. Had the same problem last year! Took about 4 or 5 hours by myself to fix, hardest part was getting lines hooked back up to pump! Hope this helps!

Had the same problem last year! The kit is about $30 at a mahindra dealer. It took me about 5 hrs by myself to install it! Hardest part was hooking lines back up to pump! It's really easy to do! Just time consuming! Hope this helps! I had to give them serial # of off tractor , ours is a 2006, and the changed there pump set up in the middle of the year because of this very problem I was told!
