mid 80's today, rain (pop and miss t-storms this w/e) + return of humidity.

For end of July, here in the northern VA, DC region, these last few days have been a real treat.

Hope to get in some major landscape raking this w/e to finish up this years projects.

A very pleasant cool morning with the temps going up into the low eighties. Just beautiful weather and it feels good to dry out
a bit. Still standing water in the fields in spots.

the tomatoes should be picked. The potatoes are overdue, but they sure aren't going anywhere.
But no garden today, today I drive back to the motorhome dealer in NJ and test drive our new travel mode.
I want to drive it on the parkway nearby, the salesman, who is new but very good, wants me to take it on "his" approved route where
one can/might get it up to 50. I'm going to live in the slow lane at 60, need to find out what it feels like, so my good friend, if you want my
money, we're headed that way, not this way. And it's not far, how convenient.

"insurance regulations" were quoted as to why we couldn't go faster. Well this poor guy doesn't know I'm a retired insurance guy and I know that's hogwash. That aside, I hope to have a fun day, and since I'm going to be involved with something with a motor and wheels, it has to be good...:thumbsup:

Coffee is brewing. 53° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 79 with clouds late in the afternoon. Off to the dentist with my aunt. She needs a ride. Then cut the lawn.
txdon, Project started as a few day thing. Retaining wall is about 90' long by 6' wide by 2' deep. Wall is OK. Fill in behind is hard work. I moved top soil from back pasture. Did not run rototiller over enough to break up all the sod clumps. Now I have to rake all the sod out. Making progress, but something always gets in the way.

The best strategy is to make her think it is her idea.

That is the best strategy, but it also takes the longest with the seed info having to sprout first, but undoubtedly the best if you have the patience. If the info seed does not sprout then the throwing out of several ideals with the preferred one the only viable option for her to pick is also risky. She might come up with a idea of her own as you pretend to be searching for a solution. It takes a lot of pre-planed-tractor-time-planning strategy.

Still overcast, low 60's this morning, feels nice for a change. Warming back to around normal for the weekend.

74 F and light showers. Can't complain about that kind of weather as July winds down.

I overslept and hopped out of the rack at 0523, I needed to go get the donuts and be into the office early.

I made it. I did manage to workout (I've only skipped 2 days since Father's Day, and my best yet is 91 push-ups in four 30 second sets).

The NEW plan is in motion. I've got a professional to "advise" me now. I'm sticking my nose back into my business, and I'm about to start working on my property, tractor, etc. soon... Watch this space for breaking news...
