Back arrow not returning to previous page

Anyone else having issue with returning to previous page when clicking the back arrow? I'm having to close completely out and login each time, I've tried a few other sites and it works with them,
perhaps my time has rolled around again for having problems:laughing:

Same here except I can just scroll to the top and hit Forums or Todays post and most of the time get them to open. Sometimes I have to click several times for them to open, so it is definitely a problem with the net and not your computer.

Also double clicking on the thread sometimes wont open it, I then have to right click and click open to get it to open.

Just a minute ago I could not go back again so I logged out and signed on again to try the suggestion you made , However now it works, :confused2: For now!

If you are using a "tabbed browser" it is much quicker to just right click to open pages in a new tab. Then if you want to go back just click the previous tab. I have 24 tabs open right now from the main index page. If I wanted to go to a second page or to attached pictures of a tabbed page right clicking would open them next to the open tab. When done click them off or just hit close all tabs. No waiting for anything to reload that way.

actually I'm using my desktop with IE10, for now its working fine, But it wasn't until I brought up the problem when it suddenly started working correctly again,

On some threads, various web ads populate your history, some for just a couple "back to's" and others for a hundred or more. Happens on many other websites also. Not new to TBN.

I have been having this problem constantly. Both at work and home. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. As stated, there are work arounds, but it is quite a pain if you are used to using it all the time.

Looking, I see something with IE 10. When you hit back, it hangs with just the top menu and top ad loaded for ~10 seconds (as seen in the screenshot), then it loads the rest of the page.

No such issues in Firefox or Chrome.

When it happens to me, if I use the drop down function next to the Forward and Reverse buttons, I will see the entire drop down filled with this address, or one similar.

Up at the back and fwd go to the little down arrow and you can see why. Just go back to the one you want, I almost have to do it that way on tbn to get back.

I had this problem a few weeks ago
It turned out to be a virus
ms has a free download to remove the virus

That is what I was trying to explain. If I hit the little down arrow (drop down) all I see is multiple listings of the same address that I posted. It goes on forever and ever..........

I am using chrome and have several occasion of the BACK selection hanging up.

Do you use a wireless mouse? I was having this problem and when I changed the battery in the mouse
the problem went away. coincidence maybe but the problem is gone.
