BACKREST EXTENDER

The wife has taken a liking to our new tractor, Mahindra 5530, which is good (although it does mean less seat time for me) but thats ok. The issue is she is only about 5'0 tall and reaching the pedals, especially the clutch, is a challenge. Anyone know of some type of backrest padding or extender that is out there, instead of just stuffing a pillow behind her. :laughing: Thanks

Instead of bringing her to the pedals, you could try bringing the pedals closer to her by using pedal extenders.

Now you got me thinking on that movie, O Brother Where Art Thou, when the little kid comes out with 2x4 blocks strapped to his feet so he can drive the family's car.

Same idea, but strap the blocks to the pedals- velcro straps seem easiest to find...

BTW, mine likes to run the tractor too, but has the exact opposite problem- seat is too close to pedals and seat back is too low!

I have the same issues, so I have been looking at replacement seats with a suspension and higher back and arms, arms are good too!
