I'm sure these guys have all this research lined up and each week they drag out that weeks scare. i.e.the last week in July it will be writing on red coloured paper will give you a brain tumor, the first week in August picking your nose will give you ingrown toenails. I have a friend who sends me stuff relating to diabetes because I am diabetic and stay away from sugar. One was the flavor of the week about how Aspertane (sp) was not good as a substitute sweetener. When I looked into it a person with expertese in mathematics (not a diabetic researcher) had set up a private study using 36 rats, labeled by some as pet store rats, not pure bred lab rats, and fed them Aspertane for so many months. They then looked at all the lumps and bumps and defects that had shown up and deduced that you could get cancer from Aspertane. the findings had not been peer reviewed. Others had looked at some of the photos of what had been called a cancer and identified a red eye as a normal disease that rats get. A bit like conjunctivitis in humans.
I always took what this person sent me with a grain of salt. Now I just delete without reading. (I wonder if all those grains of salt are doing me harm ?? :)

I take two of the fish oil tablets every morning, along with one aspirin and a Vitamin D with Calcium. I'm going to keep on for now. I don't go back to the doctor until September. I'll ask about it then.

A few months ago my mamma and I were talking with one of my classmates about food preservation before the advent of refrigeration. Mamma was telling us about how her daddy had put up meat. Everything was either smoked, salted or pickled. Or a combination of the three. My classmate was saying that all that salt and smoke had to be bad for them. I told her it was true, but starvation was even worse.

Yeah and a lot of those people, men and women, lived into their 80s and 90s. Maybe all that sweat to survive made them more fit.

I would not worry about it......There was another study that showed that regular sex (this is a true study) was one of the best ways to keep prostrate cancer at bay as you grow older........and great for your heart as well............:cool2:

can't wait to show the wife this. :)

Guys I want you to read this and take this to heart. IGNORE THIS REPORT. This is one of those fishing expedition so called medical research papers that mean nothing.
If you want to live long and prosper simply do this.

One baby aspirin per day.
One max dose statin drug like lipitior a day, but max dose is different per statin, and so even though lipitior shows a pill for 80 mg take 40 mg. This is to deinflame your arterial walls, the cholesterol improvement is just a helpful marker.
One dose of Omega 3, no need to go overboard, and eat plenty of the natural stuff.
Drink at least two mugs of "freshly ground coffee per day", not pots, and it will take care of any prostate cancer problem you have.
Get your PSA done three times, if it drops all three then don't worry about again, if it goes up and down recheck every three years, if it goes up all three years go see your urologist.
Get Steve Masley's "10 years Younger" book and read it and make all your recipes and snacks out of it....better than you are tasting and eating now.
Do at least 60 minutes of consistent activity a day.

Now relax and live forever. It just isn't that hard and yes most doctors, nurse practioners, and PAs just don't know enough to stress this enough. Masley has had this figured out for years.

Stop reading any more articles on this...just guys trying to be famous.

I haven't had a patient with a stroke or a heart attack on this system in 20 years....and oh buy the way...no cancer. Just not that hard.

I see all these vitamins, additives we take to supplement our diet, I prefer not to take synthetic or natural supplements.
What I do is try to have a good diet.
I have taken them but without any frequency at all.
Have you ever burped after a fish oil capsule? I can believe it would be nasty if opened in the mouth!
I think a nice piece of salmon from the BBQ will beat any omega pill any day.
my 2 bits!
