beat it leave it out in the cold, crap it up seems to be your motto. Your machine must be wreck. greg

He says he maintains them mechanically. I have seen a lot of equipment that runs great after having been parked outside and do so for a long time. Big equipment like combines, etc do it all the time. What percentage of people park their track tractors inside? If you can park it covered do so, but to some it comes down to a business decision.

I just bought a 1967 MF 135 that was outside since new. Now its inside and needs some work at 5100 hours.

bx25 is cheap like my dads 3030. its not like you feel bad if it gets dirty so I don't think this thread applies to us. although we do have a clean cab though. we didn't spend 50k so we are good to go like an old gravely walk behind right buddy. nice to see a fellow dirtball on here. friends me on xbox if you can

Shut up about you and a 3030, It is clear to any smart person you don't have one, You would have pictures of it and be bragging if you had one... You say BX3030 when its clearly a B3030.... A bx25 may be cheap in your dreams, but when you grow up nooodles you will understand that about 20k for a bx is not exactly "Cheap"

VTtractorguy - I don't think that I would be concerned about a tractor sitting for a month in the yard, being weathered, but I understand that you want a new condition tractor given that the purchase is also new and original. That said - I would think that a tractor has a better chance on a lot, than a vehicle sitting in the weather.
Don't cringe or you'll forever wonder if the shipping date was 3-4 months before you noticed it - it may therefore be preferable for you to get a fresh one and then at least (if there is any) weathering it is done by owner. Enjoy the purchase, whatever you decide.

So, you've been here all of a week and already chucking s**t! You don't even know this guy. What you're saying is if his idea of how a tractor should be treated differs from yours, he's wrong. Boy, you need to take a pill.

Virtually ALL heavy equipment sits outside 24/7 and sees the inside of the shop, only when it needs servicing. Anyone who has worked in that environment is probably gonna have that view.

That's it in a nutshell.

I dont know where these dealers that store all their equipment inside prior to sale are, but they must be a really tiny dealer with a large amount of storage. All dealers Ive worked at and/or shop at keep their tractors outside, even the BX sized machines. Even the ones in crates. About all that gets put inside is things like MMM's, snowblowers, buckets etc, but not even all those get put in storage, there is just no room. So if the OP wants a factory fresh machine that has never seen outside storage, I dont believe its possible, even when in crates, they are shipped/stored outside. Its an unreasonable request.

We're talking farm equipment here. Not bulldozer, mining trucks and draglines.

A lot of farmers store there equipment in barns and sheds. Period. Especially planters, combines, etc. it's good business sense. Take care of good equipment and it will take care of u. Same concept as keeping aircraft in hangers, etc.

Im referring to both. When have you ever seen a larger (or even a small) farm tractor stored inside at a dealer? Or anything above a compact for that matter? It just doesnt happen.

A farmer may, if he has the room, store a tractor inside, but its usually the machines and attachments that arent regularly used, like a planter, fert /manure spreader, sprayer, combine etc. Most of the regular use tractors are outside.

Anyways.. Id sooner deal with sun fade than bird crap all over a tractor from barn storage any day.

I'd hate to see you guys talk about politics or religion :rotfl:

Specially on cab windows and tractor seats.

If I was to lie about what machine my dad and I own, I think I would have upgraded to a fully loaded cab grand l kubota. Check out my woofer sound system mod thread. The current members and I are trying to put together a nice system for the 3030. If we get the ball rolling and my cousins hold up their end of the deal, it is gonna be one he k of a nice machine inside. Who knows maybe I can get a patent for the design but I think you might have to be 17 and up for that. I could prolly get my dad to sign off for me though. Does that sound right?

Nooodles, just a Grand L? Nothing bigger? :confused3: Whats with you and your dads opinions, can't they be your opinions that you think of? Wouldn't it be a better idea if your dad was on the forum and not you? Hopefully he is more mature than you.

Woah, you and your dad own a machine, who paid? Maybe you should actually be serious and attend to the post you made about that sub woofer your going to add into "your" tractor. I already have a factory 4 speaker and single sub woofer in my JD 7230R. Patents aren't that easy to get Nooodles... So when is your picture of your tractor going to be up on TBN? I would like to see it.

About your mod thread, how about you fix that transmission whine before you actually start adding a sub woofer, Mechanical before Cosmetics, Nooodles. Start on the outside before the inside. Unless your tractor is almost fully electronic like mine.

He did become a member here when we got the new cab . He had problems with the delivery and I told him to register on here and bring it up. well he did and someone did not approve of his disatifaction of the scratches and trans whine and they who ever it is deleted him off the site. Then my dad got really angry at me for even suggesting to come on here because a few guys on the Kubota forum gave him a hard time. I HE is a sensitive person and always quick throw a tantrum but didn't do that here. someone just didn't approve of his disatifaction of the tractor delivery and they said on the screen to him when he logged in that username unavailable. I think one of the guys said you cant do that

you be quiet mr angry and stop making fun at me. why you so angry at people for wanting to have a clean tractor. if I find a thread that aggravates me I just ignore it. if you want, we can work threw this on the private messanger feature. that way we can keep this thread on topic. I see the toilet and wrench in your avatar. my one uncle billy plumbs for a living. My dad let me operate one of those bulb bladder things one time when the 4 incher got plugged. I think my younger brother scotty flushed his peanut butter and jelly sanwhich down the crapper one evening. no way to tell for sure because we blew the pipes out with the bladder. I was amazed how well that thing works wile hooked up to teh garden hose

I think this makes even less sense than your previous post if that was possible.
