Wimins likes lots of words and talking. She is just making you talk to her.
You can break her of it by going on the offensive, get all up in her space and start asking her a bunch of questions and she will throw you out of the house to do what you please outside. Win - Win.

Or, give her a hug, hand her one of the cheap air horns, and say "Blow this horn 15 minutes before supper, and I will come running. Ummmm that does smell good."

I'm single, so chances are that would blow up in your face, but it's hard to see from my demilitarized zone exactly how.

But... you never know whether your post will be the one immediately following the one you're replying to. Sometimes, especially with a "hot" topic, you might have several readers reply while you're composing your response. :)

Many times this happens multiple times on one page with large pics! I'm on a dial-slow system, I often just have to drop the subject! ~~ grnspot

Litter ranks very high to me. But here is an example of mine...

Let me tell you a story. Years ago, I was out near Goldsboro, near...what was the name of that tiny nearby town... ....... .........................................it will come to me.....oh well, it's not coming to me, but I stopped into a diner that is pretty popular because the fellow who ran it...what was his name....it will come to me...

(Me) Bob...lets call him Bob.

No, it wasn't Bob, it will come to me..... ..... Oh, it's not coming back, but he wasn't there anyway, so the story is really about his wife, hmmm...what was her name.... .... ....

(Me) Bobbie, let's call her Bobbie.

No, it wasn't Bobbie, but that seems close....Marie. I think it was Marie. Anyway, she said to the cook, "Fred, ..." Wait, his name wasn't Fred, seems like his name was Joe, but I think that was short for Jose, because he was from Columbia...no, wait, I believe it was Brazil. Am I boring you?

No, you're killing me. You promised a story, but you seem to have gotten side tracked into some strange rendition of "The Name Game."

You have absolutely no patience...none at all.

I know. If you tell anyone about this, feel free to call me Bob. I insist. Or call me something vulgar, I really don't care. Just stop pretending that the listener is cryogenically frozen as you search for names and dates that have no relevance at all to the story.

Smokers who litter and smoke outside entrance/exit. I don't want to walk thru your cloud of smoke. Your habit stinks and now you have to dispose of your waste on the ground.

Not getting annoyed by trivial things is part of the secret of a happy existence...but since you brought it up...
I have to chuckle when I see folks wait until they have walked a short distance after parking their cars in a lot and hit the lock button on their key fobs (sounding the horn)...when all they needed to do is touch the button before they close the door...

LOL! I know a guy that is almost exactly as you describe! But with him it is the day of the week said story happened on, he ends up telling about how he remembers which day of the week it was and I loose interest by the time he gets back around to the original story.

"Let me tell you, I was mowing hay last Thursday and... No wait... It was Wednesday 'cause we had spaghetti for supper, the wife always makes spaghetti on Wednesday, blah blah blah ...<insert everything else that happened on Wednesday>...blah blah blah. Yep, it was Wednesday...."

Craigslist troll which seem to outnumber buyers that are actually interested.

Websites that I have made the mistake of providing an address to that do not abide by my request to cancel.

Drivers that push me when I am already going the limit or maybe five over. I have not pulled out in front of them. They won't pass even when it is safe.

A coffee cup gone empty way too long while having breakfast out.

Before I pulled the plug at work, the endless line of unqualified people the company kept hiring and expecting me to train. Put down that danged cell phone and quit talking sports. Do that on your own time.

People who drive in the passing lane on the highway for miles on end useing there cell phone and never pass anyone.coobie

AMEN !!!! I drive 100 miles round trip to work, all interstate driving and I see this all the time. I am tempted once in a while to give them the ol' Earnhardt bump !!

Every single time I buy something at any retail store in America I will be asked if I have a Rewards card. Then I will be asked if I want to buy a service contract for the item I am buying. Then they ask if I would like to donate to Kids With Cancer. Finally, the store's web address is circled on the receipt and I am asked to go online and fill out a survey.

My reply to those queries is usually "No, I'm filthy rich and couldn't care less about saving money and I hate kids."

My other pet peeve is being asked my name so they can shout it out when my fast food is ready. I always give my name as "007" or "Bond, James Bond." That always gets a laugh and they always play along with it.

LOL! It does not exist in Europe, btw, that's a pure American thing.

I know what you mean, and I used to come close to getting into altercations on the highway. One day, I decided something had to be done before I did something stupid. So, I moved my work hours from 8-5 to 6-3. That was a good move for me, and I have zero issues in the morning, and way fewer in the afternoon. I realize with your commute, there is little that could be done.

Oh, and for me it was "the Richard Petty trick" because he actually did it once on the HIGHWAY if I remember correctly.

Poor OP, so many problems and few solutions.

Up to 1" PVC, this is way more better than sawing:

pvc-pipe-tubing-cutter.jpg

On the bigger ones I use a jig saw whenever possible, and keep a longer blade just for the purpose.

So many other excellent peeves have already been covered, particularly turn signals going out of vogue. The only satisfaction is the ones who also have large dents in the trunk or tailgate.

Speaking of people blocking the fast lane... why is it that gold cars (Saturns, Avalons in particular) always block traffic? Used to be it was light blue Cadillacs with blue hairs, but the lack of momentum seems to have shifted to any car painted gold.

All of my crescent wrenches are like USB ports. Whichever I turn the screw thing with my thumb, the jaws go the opposite of the direction I wanted. Then just when you get it down, you get a bolt going the other way, and the darn thing changes up on you.

Best thing for PVC (or any pipe) is a cheap battery operated sawzall and 16 tpi blade.. I have a Black and Decker just for that purpose.. Plumbers best friend.

I used to have a Craftsman radial arm saw; finest tool I ever found for cutting wood and plastics. It cut PVC pipe cleanly and straight, but skirting for mobile homes, etc. besides cutting lumber for a variety of jobs.

People that are Greedy and are never satisfied or content with what they have. Material things aren't the only important things in Life. Even if One owned everything on this planet, you will still die and your body will rot away in the end. Has anyone seen the video by Johnny Cash-"Hurt"? You can see it on YouTube. There is a good chance that you will see LIFE in a different Perspective after seeing the Video.

/ Things that annoy me #78
Yes indeed Johnny Cash's video "Hurt" hits home. It is hard to believe that the original version is a Nine Inch Nails song!

Cheryl Crow had the line in her song Soak Up the Sun "its isn't about having what you want its about wanting what you've got." And the Rolling Stones sang about "You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you get what you need..."

How much "stuff" is enough? Creekbend, I agree with you - there has to be a limit. It isn't the things in life that produce contentment! Some of the most content people I know don't have much stuff but they have happy hearts!

This has been QUITE entertaining. Now to fix those gas cans, but with a smile on my face.

And the Rolling Stones sang about "You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you get what you need..."

Stones also sung " I can't get no,, satisfaction"

Also agree with Creekbend, I wonder if peoples "wants" correlate with what they "perceive" to bring happiness? If we lost all our "toy's would we still be content? I think even in this age, we are still "hunter/gatherers" to a point. Got to have what the "jonses" have, allot of songs sung about that too.
