He obviously had a previous pickup with a trailer hitch hanging out of it...Seems like he uses them as intended from inference. What's the problem with using a pickup any way that you like?

I've owned a Silverado, and it was a decent truck for some years. Also had a Dodge that I bought with 130 K miles and ran to 210K miles. Good trucks. But my heart belongs to Ford F150 because, in 2000, my wife, son and I were sitting in my '98 F 150 at a Richmond VA traffic light when a semi-truck with a load of dry cement came up behind me at 50 - with failed brakes. Picked me up and carried me about 500 feet down the street before my brakes and the inertia allowed it to stop. We weren't hurt a bit. But the 8 ft bed was about 2 feet long. Beautiful. Went out the next day and bought another F 150 - a '99. I still have it. It's battered a bit from use in the woods, but it's as sound mechanically as when it was new. I use it all over the farm and in snow, and it is still super reliable.

I will use it for hunting, and towing my 16ft trailer with my tractor to the hunt club, also have a smaller 10 ft trailer that I use to haul my 4 wheeler on. I get the groceries in my Saturn Vue lol.

Nice truck, I like the looks of the ford better though which brings me to ask! why you swing toward a Chevy? Did you have problems with your older ford? Remember what they say.... "once you've had the best nothing else will compare",
