I started to post a link to this myself...
There is no strain of domesticated cats (including all feral) that are native to the United States...they are a scourge on American wildlife...
If you are an "outside" cat owner I urge you to put collars on the animals with at least two tones of bells attached to said collars...
It is irresponsible cat owners that are responsible for this travesty of American wildlife/nature...
feral and (un-belled) cats in America are far worse than any other alien animal or plant species that endanger native flora and fauna....

We have a couple of cats that have showed up, adopted us and became our "Barn Cats" (Barney and "Miss Kitty" respectibly). Their job is to endanger the life and well being of any critters that want to eat the $$$$ grain in the barn or any birds who want to make messes on the hay in the hayloft and they are very good at their jobs...feral and (un-belled) cats in America are far worse than any other alien animal or plant species that endanger native flora and fauna....
