great news. So much attention to the negative, awesome when someone gets where they want to be.
And as for your garage contents, I expect to see a little ad on TBN for

and sprockets, pulleys, etc.

again, thanks to all:thumbsup:

If the hotel rooms have a fridge and mwave you can save more too.

Have fun working your concrete today and it looks like warmish weather is on your side for a few days.

Carl

The fridge and m-wave wont save too much. The food allowance is just that, an allowance in which I can spend UP TO and still be re-embursed. IE: I have to save my reciepts, and they will ONLY pay for what I spend UP TO that amount.

Concrete is going well also. Just waiting on it to set up enough to finish at the moment. VERY slow drying today. Hopefully the 23 degree low tomorrow night isnt going to do too much harm.

That is what I was working. And yes, I did love it. New schedule is going to be a 2-2-3 type deal. Every other weekend off. A little different, but VERY similar.

On a side note....Concrete drys REAL SLOOOWW on a wet 60 degree January day.:mur: Last truck rolled out at about 11:15 this morning. And it is STILL to wet to even run a bull float over it:confused3:

First let me congratulate you on your new job and hope it is all that you want it to be.
On the concrete, if humidity is as high as it is here, you may not get to float it till after midnight tonight and tomorrow is your first day of work. Bummer. But on the bright side, slow drying means less cracking.

Im so happy you got a good job LD1 ... and no pay downtime is a bonus! Setting up that new shop will be an adventure.
,,,Sounds like you got a good residual from the old place. An opportunity to dream of.
,,,,,,,,,Keep that concrete surface wet and double tarp it on board slats to keep the heat in
,,,,, when it gets cold.
Congratulations!

Yes, no down time is great. Actually works out well cause our "actual" severance amount amounted to about 3 months of pay. Boy uncle sam is going to love me this year:mad:

Concrete was a definite adventure. Slowest drying stuff I ever seen. I almost wish I had them put the accelerant in it. Just finished up, and it was still a tad wet in areas, but "good enough for who its for" as I like to say:laughing:

Here's some shots...not the greatest, cause the lighting sucks, I'll try to take some better ones tomorrow from the loft.

Hopefully it will be cured enough to cut tomorrow also. As I leave for Indiana in the evening.

AS to the freezing, I think I am just going to leave the door open from the heated side and allow heat into that section of the building. And have the wife keep the fire rolling while I'm gone. I dont think its going to be an issue though even if the fire does go out. I'll also have her keep it wet while Im gone as well. Then hopefully next weekend I can get my storage racks set up and get my main part cleared out and usable again:thumbsup:

PM sent. I dont really know if it is wise to advertise to the WWW who my new employer is. Maybe paranoid??, but my preference.

It's so gosh darn hard to find a good job these days that I feel some don't appreciate the gift. You must have worked very hard to find a job. It sure couldn't have been easy.
