new in New Jersey

Hello to all,
im obviously the new guy here, but when i found this website, it seemed like some real friendly folks giving out some knowledgable info. I dont presently own a tractor,but have rented them in the past. i have a heavily wooded,10 acre lot that i have farm assessed for forest management. im looking to buy my first tractor loader backhoe. can't wait to get one, but will need to ask some advice from the experts to get the right machine for the job. look forward to picking the brains of the people in the know!!

RVThere, do you know a good place tor rent a mini excavator. I need to dig down 8 feet to install a day light drain for my house sump.

i am in mendham twp nj, just west of morristown between morristown and chester. pattenburg is a beautiful area ,only 30 minutes from my house. i pass it on i 78 when i go out to cabelas. all the best.

8 feet deep? Be safe. You don't want to climb into a hole they deep.

Volvo rents is in somerville / Whitehouse station off of county line road. They will deliver if you need it. Fusco's is down in Fleminton. Not the cheapest but they have everything. I have rented from both. If you can pick up and work on the weekend ORE in Easton PA is the best. You pick up Friday after 3 and return by monday at 10 and only get charged for one day. Any time I am in over my head with my B20 I call them first.

I calle Fusco`s but they dont deliver and my ridgeline wont cut it with one of their heavy trailers. Powerco rents equipment and will deliver, so far their my best local option.

As for the safety aspect I have a friend of a friend who works for an excavating company, he is going to do the digging while i move the dirt and gracel with my kubota. Going that deep i want someone who knows how wide to make it and what pipe we need to install.
