Congrats...now go out a put a couple buck loads of rocks in the bed to break it in...

I had the bed liner sprayed in and a B&W Hitch installed ... they told me to refrain from hauling for a couple days to help the bed liner dry.

I too have been having the urge to buy a new one, and a very good possibility a new Ford would be my choice.....
Havent been a Ford guy since 1985, but Government Motors changed that.

Blu.. beautiful truck..

Guys keep buying them Fords.. My Ford stock is not doing all that well, (I am under water on the price) I could use some help here!

Very nice. I am partial to the Fords. What is the GVWR on your truck and what gear does it have? Also, please keep us up to date on the mpg. I have a 06 F-350 SRW with the diesel and the high 11,500# GVWR kit. I know it will not last forever and like you I dont really want another diesel seeing that gas is much cheaper upfront.

Yeah Blue, Big Congrats also !
Like someone else said I also have a 2011 6.7 Scorpion crew 4X4. Going on 35,000 miles no troubles to report on so far.

You traded a Dodge for a Ford. I gasp as I clutch my chest in pain. You sound like the kind of guy that would sell your kids to the highest bidder!

All joking aside, it looks like a really nice truck and I'm sure you are going to enjoy it.

I have had a crew cab Silverado 2013 in the driveway for the past 3 weeks(4x4). It's a rental but I sure understand the itch. Neighbors were already talking about me buying it, lol. Now they probably think I hit the lotto because I just pulled a HUGE fifth wheel trailer into the driveway Saturday, (again not mine). I just went and picked it up for a co-worker of a.good friend. It's for sale.
Nice truck...

10K GVWR ... 3.73 gears ... my driving has been local short runs and the computer says avg 14.6 mpg. Friday I have to haul a mule 200 miles north and will be pulling a 20' stock trailer. I'll see then.

Yes ... I did. I just didn't need the DRW's anymore and when I drove the Dodge with the Hemi ... well I took the Ford. Was hard to say good bye ... !!!

Don't want to take this thread in a different direction but couldn't help but respond and agree with the government motors comment. Couldn't agree more. Only Ford trucks for me in the future.

Appreciate the thought, but this camper is a little out of the budget range that I have for my families entertainment. It is nice, but I really don't have the time to enjoy it. The 2013 Silverado 1500 wouldn't even have a chance at pulling this thing down the road... it weighs in at over twelve thousand pounds.

Interested , but confused is SS for stainless steel or those big black pieces that go over wheel wheels on fender and 1/4 panels ?
Have the 3.55 gear r/e in mine gettin 18.9 city/ almost 22 hwy. Could not give any towing figueres never towed anything with it yet. Mileage report with 2/3 big men in truck at any given time(over 200 lbs each-:(),with tools, ropeing saddles/tack :D, and some field equipment in back. Taking off from complete stops easy, keeping hwy speeds 55 to 70. Also run it in 4wd daily so I don't get stuck or tear up back field.

My 1990 F-250 SuperCab 4x4 still runs like it was new.

Everytime I buy a new truck the salesman asks if I want to take a drive? I always respond "if I push on the gas peddle will it go?" I expect every new vehicle to perform as intended and never get emotionally attached to a brand or new gizmo. What I care about is how many times will it require shop time before 100k miles and will it get me from point A to point B? I have a Tundra now so the shop time is pretty much over.

I dunno..... one of my employees had a brand new Tundra, and it was in the shop 5 times in the first 3 months.
Hope your luck is better
