IMO...(and I have administrated message boards since the dial-up BB days (years before the WWW) In this and related threads YOU are the "troll" (if there is one)...no animosity or anything personal...just my own observation...

Agreed!

I wish there was a score function to agree or disagree with a particular comments. I'm sure your comment would get 100 positive score.

I also thought some of us were being a bit harsh on the OP, that is until the OP sent a childish threatening private message. Now I have to commend CBW1999 for his early perception of the OP's motives, and admit my giving the OP the benefit of the doubt was misplaced. Might have been better to be a bit more diplomatic expressing skepticism, but hey, that's just my opinion. I agree with the point that Slash Pine makes: civility fosters better communication and obstreperousness does not.

I'm guessing the OP threatened to trash the dealer on the internet if he didn't get what he wanted, and his original post was a follow-up on that threat. Now he is mad because he's firing blanks. Makes you want to hear the dealer's side of this story.

If he did threaten to trash the dealer on the internet he failed. I don't recall seeing the OP mention the name of either dealer he's used.

I walked in my dealers service center today and they were filling my tractors tranny with Log Cabin syrup, and they were making pancakes on the muffler

I don't even know what to think about this thread.

The following quote is what I posted to the OP's "how do i withdraw from this site?" thread, which also happens to be what I think about this thread.

Frankly, I don't blame the OP for wanting to leave and think this thread is a prime example of exactly what happens when people drink too much TBN Kool-Aid. And don't give me that crap about TBN being a "friendly" place because many things I've personally witnessed clearly indicate otherwise.

Sure, one will probably be fine here if they go along with the status quo, but they'll almost always be attacked or shunned if they dare to go against the norm. Things like this invariably become a feeding frenzy or a witch hunt, where people quickly jump to conclusions while often thinking they are mightier than thou, and it only gets worse from there.

Since a site like TBN is bound to be a magnet for tractor dealers, it only makes sense that someone like the OP will be slammed if they dare to speak harshly about a dealer, or an advertiser. This is only further complicated by the fact that posts and threads here are sometimes censored or deleted if someone dares to speak anything which is contrary to one of the TBN advertisers. Yes, it does happen and I've personally witnessed it. A prime example of which is a thread that was quietly pruned then removed from the welding forum very recently because it's overall tone was not favorable to one of the paid "sticky" advertisers who sells China-made welders.

There, I've said my peace, now let the flames begin.

If he is using the "trash the dealer on the internet" technique, his next step would be to say to the dealer, "I'll tell the TracterbyNet folks who this horrible dealer is if you don't give me what I want."

You Kubota people are tough when poked.

I don't recall any pokes toward Kubota in the OP's posts. He was ticked at the dealer and making pointed remarks at the dealer for it lack of integrity and/or competence. The only problem came when people started to realize that his statements were not consistent and were changing with each telling. Faced with these problems with the story, the OP was asked some followup questions that brought more changes to the story, details not mentioned before (some in conflict with earlier details provided) and a fleshed pre-story that added more questions about his actions. I did not see anyplace where he badmouthed Kubota or Kubota People. He was just real touchy when anyone asked him about any inconsistency or ommitted details, and especially if anyone asked why he paid when the 3pt was put back on the tractor backwards, it would not start and the fenders had only a single bolt.

I accepted his story as being a frustrated complaint about a bad dealer with missing critical details, at first, but as he filled in the details there were more and more holes in the story and too many details seemed to change. I was not going to scream troll, but I was beginning to doubt the truthfulness and completeness of the story.

:reporter:

I just got a PM from OP, something about "beating my balls off".
...except three of the 4 words were miss spelt... I kid you not.

Why am I not surprised? :clown:

I am not sure what he means, I don't play basketball, football nor
baseball. Perhaps this is a backwoods S MS deliverance kinda thing?
YUCK!

Another poke I see.

In your original post you stated that you witnessed a mechanic pouring the non-spec oil.:confused3:

Actually in his first post he just said he watched generic oil being poured into his tractor, nothing about not meeting specs at that point in time. Unless you were to read the label or did a search on the internet you would have no way of knowing if it met Kubota's specs or not. There's plenty of non Kubota brands of oil out there that are as good, if not better than Kubota UDT. If his bill said "Kubota" oil on it and it wasn't that should have sent up a red flag but I probably would have said I thought I saw some other brand of oil which would have gotten the usual "It's better than Kubota oil" reply.

What is sounds like to me is the dealer left the cover off the oil and the fumes attracted bugs that died with they fell into the oil. I can't count the number of bugs I find in my used oil if it's left uncovered. They probably assumed the filter would catch it and didn't want to throw away otherwise new oil.

Maybe he was refering to the balls on 3ph lift arms.

That's two of us Artisan. Problem is, I'd have to go to the Gulf Coast to receive the beating and assuming the OP is a male, I'd rather go to Destin Beach to view the scenery if I'm going to that part of the country. Wonder how many others (s)he sent the same message to.
