Kubota 5240 LA854 Loader/Backhoe~Sold....JD 5205 MFWD/Loader and JD 3520W/Loader
I jumped ship from John Deere and went Kubota. Very nice Tractor and the HST with loader work is great. Even got to dig a stump out. I think Kubota makes a very well put together tractor.

Thank You...
I did not know they made a backhoe for the 7040. Is that a Kubota or aftermarket?

I bought the BH92 for my 5240 and it was $8,900.00 extra. The fit and finish on the Kubota BH92 is great.

Nice looking tractor. I wish I could have swung a hoe when I got mine.

My dealer tried to talk me into a back hoe but I told him I did not have much need for one then he started on a bx.

Congratulations on your tractor, the more you use it, the more you will like it. I don't have any use for a back hoe, but every time I see one like yours, I want one.:licking::laughing:

I think that is one of those things, that once you have it, you say "How'd I EVER get along without THIS?"

I agree. I do have a number of projects for the backhoe. Digging a trech to install electric in a new barn to start.

We actually have a Case back hoe, but never use it. My brother bought it used and fixed it up when we were setting our houses up, used it on septic tanks, lines, moving dirt, built a boat slip and cleaned up some property and a few other things. When we got everything done, he parked it in the shed where it remains. It hasn't been used in so long it would take a lot to get it running, so we just rent when we need one, either a back hoe or mini excavator.

My brother keeps it for sentimental reasons as we used it with our dad and it's one of those projects he has plans for when he retires.

We have a couple of rental places that are reasonable and will pick up and deliver, so for us it doesn't make sense time wise or financially. I guess we are just different than most, though like I said, I do like them.

Update....Have a few hours on her....Very impressive tractor, moved 20 yards of sand, pushed over some fairly large oak trees, dug stumps out and a trench, dug a big hole to bury stumps and some other stuff. I am surprised at the power of the Back-Hoe and digging stumps. I noticed when i was trying to decide on the back-hoe there where not many reviews on here. I have to say if your hesitating on this back-hoe, it is quite impressive and for the extra cost I do not believe it is worth buying a mini excavator, to much more cost, maintenance and storage of another unit. Obviously my Personal Opinion. I do have plenty of experience operating heavy equipment.

I'm glad you like your tractor and back hoe. These tractors are some pretty powerful machines.
