Took my tractor brush hogging today on my pasture, easy job less than 3 inches to cut. Anyway after about a hour into it it just died. Turned off PTO and put it in neutral and it started ,so off I went to cut after 10 minutes boom stalled again. Started right back up to finish the job so I parked it back in the barn. Any Ideas why it stalled like that with 35 hours?

Recommend checking air and especially fuel filters including the small inline fuel filter. Also, is there crud in the bottom of the fuel tank? Fuel starvation will limit power and these filters can plug up in such a way they unplug somewhat when you stop sucking fuel through them.

One other thing not mentioned is the fuel tank vent . If it gets clogged or partially clogged it could prevent fuel from flowing to the pump and stall the tractor. Letting it set for a period might release the partial vacuum and allow fuel to run for a few minutes. Not sure where you tank vents from but take a look for dirt dauber next stopping up the vent hole.

If it is shutting down quickly when it happens, it sounds to me like an electrical problem, like a safety switch or wire shorting out.

Same here, is there a seat switch?

Quick test for this is to unplug the shutoff solenoid (you'll need to shut off manually). With the SS disconnected, electrics should have zero effect on a mechanical injected Diesel.
