Comparison Kubota L4600 and John Deere 5045D

Yeah, but I'd rather have an orange 4wd tractor...

Don't recall seeing a loader being added, but certainly agree with 4wd when adding loader. I have been down the 2wd loader road. It is better than not having loader at all, but doesn't compare to same setup with 4wd. Certainly worth considering if budget allows.

I readily admit to not being well versed in Kubota models but I am familiar with most of the Deere stuff. That said I think a smaller 3x20 or 4x20 series Deere or similar tractor from other brands should be a better suited for the OP's tasks. Most of this mowing, grooming and snow removal is what I consider light work and would benefit more from having a smaller hydro tractor instead of a larger gear tractor.

I would agree. After considering that some users may not be comfortable operating a tractor in the first place and may not be familiar with gear selection/changing, the hydro would likely be MUCH easier to use and thereby safer too.

Looking at your list of tasks I don't see the need or benefit in a larger frame tractor, it would seem that a compact utility should be a good fit.

By suggesting a smaller tractor, You have gone against every TBN code of honor ever made! :laughing:


Just kidding, I agree that the compact would be well up to the tasks. HST is a godsend.

All three mentioned have HST,then there is the GrandL's
I gave it to the deere out of the two,but if were going to get into other numbers,gonna stay on the orange side of fence
