I bought my 2520 last year with the intention of putting the new design 270 hoe on it. A year later and the 270 no where in site I am looking at other options. I had a 46 on a 4115 and it worked fine however I would like a newer design curve boom type. My dealer also sells Woods and I was wondering if anyone has put one of their "groundbreaker" hoes on a 2520? :confused3:

I was in the same place as you regarding a BH for my 2720. Looked at Woods & Wallenstein BH's but ended up finding a Like-new 2011 46 backhoe with 5 hours on it for $3K and that was a no brainer. It does a great job for what it is and I've got short money into it. My rational was to go for it, use it for now, and if and when the 270 becomes available I'm sure I can get all of my initial investment back on a trade-in. Until then, I'm making progress with my projects. Changeover between mowing & TLB is a pain! I now have my 2305 setup for mowing work and the 46 stays on the 2720.
