5035 rear remote control

Anyone with a 5035 with the rear remote help me out. I have a grapple which is run by the rear remote. The lever control is a simple forward backward lever attached to the right fender. It shows neutrel, forward, forward float, and back. problem is that when I push it forward it goes right into the float. There is no play between neutral and float. Additionally, I think that the gpm might be to high for the Wildkat grapple. It goes from popping all the way open, to shutting all the way closed. Theres really no in-between option.

You have about 6 GPM's through the implement valves.

You could install an orifice restrictor or a needle flow valve in the grapple circuit to adjust for a comfortable level of operation.

You should have a firm stop before you go into float. If not, it might require you to go into the bottom of the valve under the caps and check, clean, etc.

If one of the other spools has float, you might change over to the other spool.

You could also remove the float components.

Any idea about what could cause the lever to go from the neutral position to the float position with no in-between play? It really shouldnt need to be cleaned...new tractor.

There should be a noticable detent between forward and float.

For those that have a back hoe on a 5035, what is the correct position for the rear remote lever when running the hoe?

My 5035 has a hook to keep the lever [ down next to the 3pt lift levers ] in the rear most postion when using the hoe. And the hoses to the hoe are color marked so you hook it up the same each time.
