IF you commute what's your commute like?

40 mile round trip. 2/3 of this is on a brand new, 6-lane "freeway" that, for purely political reasons, was forced to have three stoplights, each about a mile from the other. This serves the purpose of creating bottlenecks and artificially doubling the required drive time. Unfortunately, even with the delay, this is still the best route.

Very frustrating.

Wife only drives 8 mile round trip, all in the "country" and with only two stoplights.

I use the iPhone to view TBN. It's a royal pain to get to people's profile. Without looking as to what State you are from, I knew you had to be talking about Cleaver's pet project, 71 highway.

Am I right or am I right ?

I live east of KC. I assume you are south in the Raymore area??

You are exactly correct.

And, of course, the do-gooders responsible for the stoplights will also be the first ones complaining about air pollution and wasted fuel caused by cars idling at stoplights and arguing that busses should be used more to help fight traffic congestion....

1 1/2 mile from home to my business 5 days a week off weekends. I am out of city limits by a couple miles anyway so its not too bad of a drive or ride very glad to say because I absolutely hate the rat race.

35 miles a day each way. can take 45 minutes or Two hours?? Some of the most messed up freeway and roads in the country...Welcome to MEM. we Drive 85mph plus or stop and start for miles on the Interstate??TRY GOING TO NASHVILLE thru MEM??

45 miles a day each way. It usually takes about 40 or so minutes, but with road work or accidents it has taken me up to 3 hours. We have a few alternate routes around I-10, but those add quite a few miles. When I lived in the Baton Rouge area it would take about 45 to an hour to get about 15 miles... I couldn't get out of there quick enough. My wife's drive is less than a mile to the court house.

Sounds like the Pittsburgh area...I experience the same thing and drive 35 miles each way..Every day is a crap shoot.

Wish me luck, I just entered a contest for the worst commute in my area.

I know of quite a few people (who don't visit TBN), (I don't know HOW they survive )
that have a crazier time getting to work than me. It will be interesting to see the winners story.

Part of the package will be a free limo ride to and from your job.
