the specs for the boomer 30 and the r3039 dont even come close to each other. the r3039 specs are the same as a bommer 35. the g3033 specs are a closer match with a 4 cylinder instead of a 3. the displacement of the bommer 30 is 15 ci less that the r3039. and 10 hp less. dont know what this is.:confused2:

No one wanted to believe me the last time I said this but the Boomer 30 is a rebadged S3010. Look at the engine displacement. Weight is closer than the G3033. Take another look. For that money you are just buying an S3010.

Gary: Back then LS didn't sell their own tractors. At least not in the US. The U5030 was supposed to be an all new design when it came out in the US and I was just saying if that Montana was at 5000 hours with that abuse and no problems that I hoped the U5030 was designed after that Montana (or if you want to be picky: whatever tractor that was that was being rebadged.)

No I don't think its the S3010 either, that only has the 8x8 trany. If you look at the LS lineup nothing seems to match up.

Now if you look at the Boomer 30 and the Boomer 35 in the technical specifications they seem to be the exact same tractor except for the weight, the engine idsplacment, and the HP. Now I am no diesel mechanic but can't they do something to an engine to tune it down, install different fuel system or something like that?

I think they may be the same tractor only different. Yea I know WHAT!

Okay, maybe they took the engine of the S3010 and put it on an R3039 or G3033 chassis...

Well that could be I guess. I think the only way to tell is to look at the tag on the frame of the boomer 30 and see what it says! This is screwy.

I would think the only way would be to check the tag. Could it be a Boomer 30 made before LS started making them.

No the information I have is from the new holland web site so it would be current, or at least you would think it was.

I still think it a R model with a toned down engine, look at the boomer 40 and 50 they also seem to be the same with different HP and the same CI.

The Boomer 30 is the equivalent to the LS I3030, or what would be called an "R3029" today if LS had decided to continue with that model, but they did not. In other words, it's an R3039 w/ 10 fewer ponies, or an I3030 w/ a fender mounted joystick.

I thought it might be useful to have a thread detailing the model equivalents, so I started one here.....

The reason the 40 and 50 are so similar is because they are based on the R4041 and R4047 which are identical except for tuning of the engines. No other LS models are like them. Unless you consider the U5020 which is a U5030 chassis with an R4047 engine.

The R3039 is not the same chassis as the R4041 and R4047. Look at the weights and you'll see it.
