Great work , I wish there were before photos but I understand. I love my B2920 and I am coming up on 160 hours.... A real workhorse.... Its amazing to see what these size tractors can accomplish. I don't know how real men did this kind of work back in the day without machines.

There may be two adjusting nuts, one to lock it and one to set it I think. I may try tomorrow, if I do I will take pics and post them.

I took a look at the throttle friction adjustment tonight. Looks like you have to pull off the black plastic dash/cowl cover to get at it with wrenches. I did take the big screw off the top and got the cover loose, but it looked like a project to get everything disconnected so I bailed since it was getting dark. I did squirt a few shots of lube into the friction plates from under the tractor, and that helped quite a bit. I'll see if that takes care of the problem during operation, otherwise, I'll take another shot at getting the dash/cowl cover off and then adjust the two nuts that control the friction.

I have also been getting a creak from the FEL quick-connect pin on the left side, and a shot of WD-40 silenced that instantly. Wow, that was nice!

I am curious what other 2620/2920 owners are using for tire pressures -- for the R4 tires, the manual says 35ps front and 40 psi rear, but that happens to be the max pressure printed on the tires, which seems odd. Normally, the operating pressure is a bit lower than the max psi.

I'm on my 3rd Kubota; started with a used B7100 about 18 years ago and sold it when I sold my weekend property (divorce really messed me up; my brother kept telling me not to sell it, that I'd be sorry. But I didn't listen...). Then when I got another weekend property I bought a used B7300 to which I added a Bush Hog brand FEL. Then I decided to upgrade to a new tractor and am now utilizing a B3300SU with the Kubota FEL. I don't have a BH and can't justify the cost for the amount of use I'd have for it (although there a lot of times I wish I did have one).

I have to say that every one of the little bulls has amazed me in the amount of work it was/is capable of.

My brother keeps talking about getting a new tractor to replace his old 8N but he keeps saying he wants one of those green tractors. I've tried to tell him he'll be sorry he didn't buy orange but he just won't listen. It's gotten to where I just shake my head and walk away from him...:laughing:

Yesterday I pulled the remaining scrubs and stuff. Then I took my box blade and lowered the shanks all the way down, and made passes back and forth, tearing up and pulling up a good deal of the network of roots etc.

I though for a moment as a looked at the stumps, it looks a lot like my pile of slash... then I noticed you were in VA also... no wonder it looks like the same stuff I'm pulling up.

Tho the M59 makes it a WHOLE lot easier. :thumbsup:

Yeah, those Virginia taproots look the same all over the state, like big carrots.

I looked real quick but didn't see where you posted your 'what tool to use next' thread? Could you post a link for me? I'm really interested in the responses because I will be in your situation sometime this summer with an acre or so.

I was thinking a harley rake would work best, but not sure what you would do about all the roots sticking up???

WD-40 is good for the short term but u really should use a better oil like Penetrol 90. WD washes away to easily.

I agree -- I don't consider WD-40 a serious lubricant at all, but I think it will be OK for fixing that creak. I was really using it to help me find the creak more than anything else. We'll see how long it lasts.
