M7040 wont start

Cut my tractor off today after discing, and couldn't get it started again. Battery works, fuses intact, dash board says PTO is engaged, which is not the case! I think the tractor "thinks" PTO is on, which prevents tractor from starting. Anyone had this problem before? Tractor is a kubota m7040. Thanks for the help...

Definitely won't start if it thinks the PTO is engaged.

You probably tried moving the PTO lever to engage / disengage several times.

The only other thing to do is check to see where the switch is that senses the PTO lever position. If it is something simple like a seat switch you should be able to fool it.

I have tried turning the pto on then back off repeatedly with no luck. Ive looked at the manual but can't seem to find where the switch is that controls the pto mechanism being turned on. Right now my tractor is spending the night under the stars in a big field.

The switch will be on the pto lever somewhere unless you have the button then the switch will be part of the pto button(switch).
