New Max series...

I was cruising around the Mahindra site the other day and noticed we have a new Mahindra dealer actually closer to me than the dealer I have bought 3 from. I too submitted via email some questions and ask for a quote on an 8560 cab, but I never heard anything from them. Means one of 2 things...I'll either buy an 8560 cab from another dealer or I'll buy a Case IH since they did respond when I inquired about things via email from them.

Unfortunately the dealers that need to learn this lesson aren't on TBN. Seems easy enough to give a quote.

Many car dealers are invariably the same way. When I bought my truck, one of only three dealers who responded to my email inquiries got the sale.

What many dealerships often fail to realize is that people may be hundreds of miles away from the dealership, as was the case with the dealer I bought my truck from, and driving that far to visit a dealership when there is no guarantee of a sale is not only impractical but would also be downright stupid, especially with todays ever increasing fuel costs.

The same can be said for dealerships who insist that you call them, where some people don't want to waste their cell air time while the dealer tries to "sell" them, as was the case when I emailed a tractor dealership recently to ask them if they had anything I might be interested in. Their initial response was less than helpful, asking pointless questions after I was pretty specific about my desires, and their second response was downright hostile after I politely informed them that I'd rather wait and call when they had something I was interested seeing. Afterwards, I informed them that their bad attitude had blew any chance they had of ever selling me anything.

In short, many dealerships need to wake up and realize that this is 2012, not 1982.

Just saw a TV ad for the Max series on Fox News. Similar to their older ad where a neighbor looks on jealously from his Green tractor except this time its an Orange tractor obviously mean to be a compact Kubota. At some point I will take a look at the new max assuming the local dealer (30 minutes away) gets a few but no plans to trade out anytime soon. But, more competition is good.

Not sure where in CT you are. We are in Bethany, CT. and have quite a few on order and will have them in stock as soon as Mahindra ships them. Feel free to stop in and take a look when we get them.

Yes the mower can be on with the loader and backhoe. If you want to take the ride to CT we will have them soon, I hope!

Scott, forgot you guys are on here from time to time. Yes, I think you're considered my local dealer. I did shop you guys years back when I made my first tractor purchase. At the time the smallest Mahindra's were a little too big for my 2 acre lot.

The Max 28XL is a powerful sub-compact. If you park a Max 28XL next to a 2216 you will notice that the 28 is the same size as the 22. In my opinion horsepower is not what defines sub-compact, it is size of the machine.

Hi Max,

Been a crazy (but good) week. Here are some pics of one of the Max28's we've recieved--this particular one a shuttle. We're expecting the Max22's to start coming in next week with the Max25's following shortly.

I couldn't help but notice that the hydraulic hoses for the loader are routed outside the frame, something that was mentioned previously.

Any idea what the 28's weigh? They look rather light, which could be problematic, especially when doing loader work.

Shuttle is 2446lbs with loader, HST is 2490lbs w/loader. We filled the rears on the HST we have in stock and put her in the dirt then gravel pile and she did fine. Plenty of power, filled the bucket and held it high without feeling tipsy. Mahindra still has the support bracing connecting the loader mounts into the rear axle which I like.

Well this may help all your questions.....
Now for the BIG ISSUE..Got a call from my rep today, seems there is a very limited supply of max 22's
I received 1 max 22 and 1 max 28XL
I took about 10-15 pictures in the areas that differ the most. I am not going to post all the pictures on here. If you would like the file of the pictures sent to you, please email me your email address.
Guys if your on the fence waiting to make a purchase, these new Max tractors maybe something you just might want to wait on...only if you plan to run a mid mount mower. Otherwise I would recommend you go out and snatch up all the great deals on the 1816's, 2216's and 2516's!

Are the HSTs set up so you can use the steering brakes while finessing the go pedal?
Thanks,
