Thanks everyone for your comments on my sons work. I'm pretty proud of what he's done with this build. When you see work like this you realize your little boy is really grown up

Speechless!! That is an outstanding piece of workmanship by him! Gibson or Fender got nothing on him!! I can see your son(s) eventually going into business doing nothing but building custom guitars. Tell him congrat's on the fine job, and thank both of them for their service to country.

Isn't it a great feeling when your kids surpass you in their skills, especially things you haven't even taught them?! You realize they are really grown up. Not only is the craftsmanship look fine, his playing sounds, to non-musical me, pretty fine, too. What's his next project- an 18th Century mahogany highboy chest of drawers with carved details? You can make the brass pulls for him!
