Rops light's in or out

I need some guidance on rops ligth install. I purchased some rops light brackets from tractorcabdepot.com. Great brackets, but my dilema is how to mount. Should I mount the light on the outside of the rops or on the inside of the rops. If I add them to the outside of the rops it will add about 8 inches to the rops width. If I put them on the inside do I increase any possible injury from the bolts and brackets being up over my head. I own a BX24. Any insight or sugestions would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure if you mean front-facing or rear work light(s), but my OEM Kubota rear worklight has the bracket inward:

If folding ROPs you may want to add extra wire.
Inside may give more protection from branches/limbs etc.

Having spent a lot of time driving in the woods recently, I'd say "IN" for sure.

On my BX-25 I put mine on the inside of the ROPS as high as I could get them. They (2 forward and one rearward facing) are all mounted on a U-channel between the uprights and just below the top. Perhaps I ought to post a picture...

I put mine on the inside because I'm sure I'd knock them off on a tree or something else very quickly. Your concern about hitting your head is real though, after adjusting mine I climbed on to use the BH and hit my head VERY hard on the corner of the bracket. Luckily I was wearing a hard hat, which suffered a good gash, but definitely saved me a trip to the hospital. I may try to figure out some padding for the sharp corners of the light mounts.

When I fabricated the brackets for my light install, I was very leary of the right angled corners on my bracket as well. My solution was to use a steel jigsaw blade and cut the corners off to create a rounded end and then took the rough cut to a grinder to make it nice and smooth. Won't prevent me from banging it, but it certainly will drastically reduce the effect of the hit.

Thanks, maybe I'll give that a try. I was thinking of grinding them on my bench grinder, but using a jigsaw with the right blade sounds much more efficient.

Thanks for all the input. If you look at the brackets I ordered they are rounded with no sharp points. I think I am leaning torwards inside mount do to how much the lights will stick out if mounted outside of the rops. I'm a tall guy so I will have to be carefull not to hit my head when getting on the backhoe.
