Just wanted to share...

That would make a fantastic lawnmower!

...is that a 3 point hitch on the front? And yes, sign me up for mowing with that.

Now that is one cool set up and it sure looks like a 3pt up front.

Hiya,

Yes, the poeple on the other side of the Atlantic can get cabs on the smaller chassis. The 2000 series has had a cab option in the UK since 2006 however, unlike the 3 & 4x20 series, the 2000 series cabs have no AC but the doors can be taken off.

That is really slick! I was thinking a nice zero turn would be nice the next time around but a cab with AC/Heat wouldn't be so bad:thumbsup:

That would be great to combine a steam bath or dry sauna (depending on your climate conditions) with mowing your lawn in the summer. These cabs are great but only with a total hvac package. As an example I was pushing snow in my 4520 cab yesterday in the sunshine(36F) and had to turn on the ac in the afternoon.

Looks like the same front frame that my 3720 has for the front mount blower, or other front attatchments.

Let's have a pic of the other side, where the fuel filler is on the fender? How does this cab work around it?

A 3 point on the front??

You'll probably never see it here. As mentioned europe gets cabs on alot of sub compacts, not just the deeres.

Here's Kubota's BX factory cab in europe

Which is very odd because as though I have ZERO need for a new lawn mower right now, if someone made me a sub compact with a factory cab to mow with, I'd more than likely be at the dealer tomorrow...

If i was to take a wild a**** guess it say that adding $5000 to cover the cab would be a major driving force as to why you dont see them here. Machinery is more costly over there so they probably would notice the increase as much.

And there could be the possibility that the cab could raise the centre of gravity up and open the companies up to litigation as the result of a rollover, especially in the states. And needing to have the cabs ROPS certified. Subcuts arent that stable in the best of times due to their narrow footprint and relatively high centre of gravity.

Yep, the Europeans generally get more optional goodies than we do. My 2001 JD 4200 could be equipped with a heated cab (no AC), two speed rear PTO, a front PTO, along with a mid PTO, and front 3PH..

Here in the USA...no cab, single speed rear PTO, no front PTO, and no front 3PH

Europe also makes them add brake lights, and other car like features they don't do here.

It's pretty nice over seas that they can get this. We as Americans are bringing dumbed down to the real truth as to what is happening. Why can't we as Americans get this first. My local Jd dealer don't have a clue as to what is going on. Look at the 1 series . I have their info on this tractor. I happen to have it in my hand. I don't see a front 3 point or a cab option? I am tired of this and I am not going to take it anymore. So for me I'm not buying anything! I don't like sloppy seconds or even thirds. Thanks!

Spot on, I think. There is certainly some diff in safety requirements accross the pond. We used to see a lot of european rotary heads for corn choppers, same brand as we had but a boatload cheaper. However missing all of the USA required safety features, drum brakes, etc, etc. Some where valid some not so valid. The pricing is also probably a point too, mfg's look hard at what take rates are and although one would think they would sell the heck out of factory cabs on cuts that may not be the case just yet.

If you're meaning the market here for factory cabs wouldn't be justifed. I think JD needs to do an owners poll. They would be very surprised.

Personally,I'm pissed that the Europeans have so much more to choose from.

x2, It's one thing if they had to completely redesign the tractor, but they have already put it through it's paces. If people want to buy it they will. I don't see the harm in having it here.
