Rexman
Have your dealer do a transfer between dealers to get the 3040 you want. That is what my dealer did. My tractor came out of a dealer in Michigan. New car dealers do it every day.

Your local dealer still makes the sale and will service it. and you get the tractor you really want

To be honest, the new Boomer is not a bad tractor; it is just not as refined as the older Boomer models. What I cannot stand is the operator's platform on the new Boomer models. I just find it awkward getting on and off the tractor; my foot was always getting stuck on the brake pedals. I also did not find it comfortable sitting on the new Boomer tractors, but your experience might be different than mine.

However, if you want this type of Boomer tractor and you need rear remotes, you might be better off looking at the LS tractors from a LS dealer. The LS tractors come standard with 2 pairs of rear remotes. So you know what to compare, the LS Rio R3039 is the same as the Boomer 35, the LS Rio R4041 is the same as the Boomer 40 and the LS Rio R4047 is the same as the Boomer 50. However, I do think the FEL is a little nicer loader on the Boomers, but the LS and Boomer loaders have about the same lift capacities.

Just out of curiosity, have you looked at the Kubota L Grand series tractors or the John Deer 4000 series? Also, the Mahindra 4035 or 5035 is not a bad tractor. Mahindra has been making tractors since 1963. They had a joint venture with International Harvester to make the IH B-414 and they seemed to come a long way making tractors. There are a lot of good tractors out there to choose from these days.

Very interesting thread here. I just want to say that I am not too familar with the LS line.

Alot of the major players use outsourced tractors, massey and inseki, deere yanmar, etc. But I don't understand why NH would leave Shibura, and go with a much smaller less known brand. When I looked at the LS website, it didn't impress.

I read that New Holland stopped large construction equipment into the north america market and is focusing on Ag.

I hope the change to LS will work out for the dealers and NH loyalist.

This is just my opinion, but the new NH compact tractors most likely will be a fair quality tractor and, if taken care of, will provide its owners years of good service.

However, if you want to trade it in for another brand over time, such as a JD or Kubota, the tractor will be a turd from a resale standpoint unless you trade it in for another NH model. Actually, many dealers are getting confused now on which tractor is which. I had a JD dealer quote me a trade-in value of $14,000.00 for my new Boomer 3040 with 18.2 hours. He thought the 3040 was the same as the Boomer 40, until I told him it was the same tractor as a TC40DA. I had two other dealers tell me that I have the wrong color tractor now and that the NH is not what they use to be worth; they do not want the tractor on their lot because they do not think they can sell it very easily. I had one last dealer tell me that he will not even want to talk to me about a trade because he does not want to try to figure out the type of NH I have. He does not want to deal with Shibaura CVT or Korean based tractors from NH (I feel sorry for the guys that have the CVT version tractors). That has been my experience the last month speaking with JD, Kubota and Massey Ferguson dealers.

My opinion, but find a dealer that knows what they are talking about. Sounds like your getting some bad advice and info from people who have no idea what they are doing.
