1250 ag tire size

I have a 1250 and want to replace my turf tires but haven't been able to find any.

I have info from the manual that calls for:

5.50 - 16 for the front, and

12.4 - 24 for the rear

I have been told that ag tires and turf tires use different rims but have been unable to confirm that.

When I was actively looking for tires I found out what you probably already know, that the front and rear ratio have to have the front tires with 0 to 5% "pull" so the front assist will help pull when in 4WD.

I will probably just keep running with what I have the cost of new tires and wheels is more than Im going to spend.

The standard size ags on the 1250 are 7-16 front and 12.4-24 rears. If you price at a dealer don't go to parts. Get a salesman to check the price through Whole Goods. They are a lot less expensive that way but they may take longer to arrive.

We changed out from R4's to Ags to work with the row spacing on our farm. I had great luck with new wheels from Hey Machinery . Used wheels are scarce as hens teeth. The ones we got were reasonable and shipped in just a couple of days.

I tried talking with someone but they didnt have the wheel specs in their records for a 1250? Would you mind sharing your information on what you gave them? I will order asap and I will tell them I heard from you and maybe they will give you a kickback.
