Kioti is currently offering a free front end loader or $2500 cash back if you purchase a CK27 prior to 12/11. Assuming I choose the free FEL what would be a fair price for a CK27HST tractor with no additional options? Our "local" dealer is quoting $17,900.

A fair price can vary widely depending on your location and the local market economy.

I would suggest getting at least three quotes for the same machine local or delivered and then sit down and negotiate with your preferred dealer from a position of knowledge. This way you have an idea of the prevailing market and can adjust for any plus or minus with the specific package you want.

Show them the starting offers from their competition if you need to and let them know they are your first choice but these are your alternatives if you cannot agree to a deal you both like.

Too high. Tell him that to his face. He can do better than that. Are you paying cash or financing it? 3 years ago I paid cash for a ck27HST with the loader and paid about 14.5 for it with the free loader. Yes that's great but prices really have zoomed up since then. If you are financing it expect to pay more because that's how they pay for the financing.

I'm assuming that the $17,900 is the starting cash on the barrel head price.

$17,900, for 5 years at 6.5% means a actual total cost of $21,478.19 to the company, which is what I would expect them to quote you as their price.
Means you're paying $3,578.19 in interest; considerably more than $2500 for a rebate.

Now it that's the other way around, and the $17,900 is the price after 5 years at their 0% interest rate offering. Correct me if I'm way off, but the actual cash price should be between $2500 and $3500 less than that; say 14,400 to 15,400.

Actually, $17,900 at 6.5% over 5 years I get total interest of $3114. ;)

My local dealer wanted $17,800 for a CK30HST w/FEL, I called around to 2 other dealers. next one wanted $16,400 and the third dealer (65 miles away) wanted $14,300 for the same thing. So I drove a little farther and got a very good deal. So make sure you call around to several dealers and get prices.
