4430 transmission warning light

Transmission warning light on my 4430 does not flash with key on, engine not started. It does come on when cranking starter and goes off when engine starts. Any ideas?

IIRC what you stated is the correct operation of trans oil light. Have you checked in your operators manual?

Which transmission do you have? Quad range, Syncro-Range or Power Shift.

I have quad transmission. The operator manual says the transmission warning light should flash with the key on, but not starting and engine not running.

I checked mine and I need to see if my light is burned out. It doesn't come on at all. My filter light either. I have done 2 transmission oil changes in the last 4 years and it works fine.

I started mine this morning and pulled it out of the shop. It also flashes while cranking and goes off when started. Mine is a quad range as well. I read the manual and it says flashing with key on and not starting.
I would say flashing with it cranking is normal as I believe it has always done that. I guess I never noticed what the manual said. My guess is while cranking the flow and pressure is low so the light flashes until it starts and pressure comes up. If you keep the filter and oil changed in it every 200hrs it should be fine.
