Just as I was wiping up the drips from adding the engine oil to my 3032e after its first oil change, I noticed the locking tabs on the upper corners of the side panel. Gee, clever idea making the panel easily removable. Wish I'd have figgered it out before going through the gyrations and arm scraping to get the oil cap off and the oil funnel in. Next time it will be easier. :confused2:

Did you read your manual...or even look at the side panels when you raised the hood (which exposes those tabs)?

I have a 3038e and was most pleased when I noticed those. Very handy enginering.
Actually there are many spread around the tractor. Even the oil pan has them.

I had 'em on my old Deere 670, so they've been around for at least 20 years.

Half of the fun of doing things yourself is what you learn to make it easier the next time.:)
