Well, I got a couple of big corks, and I don't drink wine either. Some of the wine shops have a whole bowl full of them. I guess they re-cycle them.

A rubber stopper works too! Bet you could find one of those at an inch taper down to 7/8 at a good hardware store. Of course, if you have a helper, they could hold the shop vac hose over the fill port. Guess that works just as well.

I guess I should auction off my spare over sized cork for charity? :D:D

The nice part is, the vac hose fits neatly into the fill hole, like it was made for the purpose.

Ah Chilly, not all shop vacs are the same size, but i think I got reducer somewhere. The helper might prove even harder to find.:D

Yeah, they get suspicious when you tell them what you want them to do.

One thing to be careful of, mine drew a little bit of oil out, probably from the airflow traveling over oil coated parts. Not enough to cause problems with the shop vac, or even to coat the inside of the hose, but there was a film on the inside of the nozzle I used.

Go to a auto parts store or maybe a hardware store and get a rubber plug that are used for the casting holes. All you have to do is put it in and tighten up and save it for the next time.

You may be right! I have a BX25, I purchased it new this spring and have now added air to the right front tire every week this summer. I thought I may have run over something but I cannot find it. It takes about four or five days for it to get to go flat, I suppose I will have to remove the wheel and place the entire thing it in water to find the leak. It is a R1 type tire, by the way.

After mine started leaking down, I nipped it in the bud and had both the front tires tubed and filled with "thorn shield". Problem solved.

I've had my BX25 over a year now. R4s and one front tire has started needing aired up evry two to three weeks.

Haywire, I haven't heard of thornshield, what is it and how does that work. I do have a lot of hedgeapple and locust trees near by and I have always thought that I ran over a thorn while mowing. I figured one broke off before the tire surface and that is why I cannot find it.

Who is the tire maker? Some are a lot worse than others, I'm not impressed with the Carlisles on the front of my L3400. They're not leaking though, at least not yet.
