Way off topic for PT land, but was putting up plywood in my pole barn to make some storage last saturday. Got the 1st sheet jammed on the ladder at the top, so I set the ladder against the 2x4 joist and went up again with a second sheet, knowing full well it was a stupid manuever. Got the sheet up, looked in time to see the 1st leg slip off the beam. Panicked, tried to scramble down and only made it worse.
Now it gets fun. Figure I just dislocated it so I keep working. 5PM arm is really sore. got to the ER. Eyup, Fracture of my elbow (Radial fracture of the radius at the elbow). Get a cast and a sling. On monday, Surgeon says hey, cast is a bad idea and so is a sling so just don't pull or push on it for the next 20 days and try and use it lightly or it will atrophy and you will not get full use.
Man, does that hurt. Finally starting to calm down a bit but now my arm is all bruised up.
