Good evening,

Ford 4000, 3 cyl diesel, 8 speed... I have the add on power steering with the power steering tank above the pump. I will be changing the two power steering hoses and to the cylinder tomorrow morning. After I replace them is there anything special I need to do to remove the air from them like bledding the hoses. If so , how is it done. Thanks

Cycle the steering lock-to-lock a few times, checking the oil level in the reservoir as you go. If you can jack the front end up all or even part way, that will help.

I don't know about your specific pump but just excercising the power steering will usually clear the air out of the lines. Normally there is no special bleeding procedure.
