It is 304. It DOES show surface rust where other metals have rubbed against it. The company that we buy it from explained that to us, when we first started buying it. The mower is manufactured in Alabama.

The stainless body material is certainly nice since corrosion is minimized but a mower deck has to be judged in many areas.

Quality of cut (design), and quality of the materials of the machinery of the deck are overwhelmingly important.

The King Kutter Finish Mower is quick hitch compatible. The Rubber piece is the deflector shield.

Actually, that depends on which alloy it is...some stainless steels are not too corrosion resistant...but it isn't rust like you'd see with carbon steels.

I can assure you that my S&W Stainless Chief's Special would disagree with you. It became well pitted from concealed carry/ sweating in the Summer. Stainless Steel is rust RESISTANT not rust proof! Some stainless are more corrosion resistant than others.
