There's always some guy in the crowd, who keeps getting closer, and closer to the danger, without any purpose except to be in the way. I wish someone would explain that to me.

It looked like the Police was going to finally get mashed too as they spun around and arrived at the scene. I am surprised that the light standard was strong enough to stand the impact of the tractor. The concrete sonotube is usually not very deep in the ground or asphault.

The owner won't have any problems...all he or she has to do is show that video to their agent.
However, the shopping center's (or whoever owns that Deere) insurance will probably cover any damages.
The shopping center's insurance will probbaly cover the damage and then take it out of the hide of the tractor owner/operator's insurance co.

Looking at that tractor, it looks like the plow could convert from a straight box pusher to an angling blade with a box end.

Why didnt the engine stop or the wheels spin when it hit the light pole standard.:confused2:

I briefly chased an Allis-Chalmers HD6 crawler loader down a gravel driveway a few years ago. While running alongside, I stepped onto the track frame and then into the operators station, sat down in the seat, and slammed on the one working brake pedal, as it was gaining speed going backwards down the progressively steeper hill. The owner failed to set the brake a minute earlier when he parked it on top of the hill. I noticed it rolling away, and went after it.
Dumbest decision I have made in the last decade, but I survived unscathed. I should have let it go into the ravine. The piece of junk is still in regular use.

I was a bit intrigued that the tractor kept circling like that. Admittedly, I don't drive my tractor hands-off, so I can't say how it steers by itself, but wouldn't it tend to straighten out like a car? Or is this from really bad wheel alignment or maybe the asymmetrical effect of the plow?

Many tractors today do not have physical linkage from the steering wheel to the tires and the control valve setting often can cause a pull to the right or left.
