Some of y'all might like this. Just playing with the forge and Hossfield to make something a little different.

The color was chosen and applied by a friend of mine in Lavon Texas. Marcus Spence is the owner of Aerofinish and an artist.

It's a headache rack. You know, one of those things you put on a truck bed to keep stuff from coming in the back window.

If you look close you will see five boat light holes. Two each for for brake/tail, two each for back up, and one for cargo.

Harv at this point in time I'd gladly trade my welding ability for your creativity!;)

Harv if you don't mind, I'd like to pick your brain for a minute. I have a gate project coming up for a very good friend, (over 30 years). Can you recommend an automatic gate opener with slave operator? In the past I haven't had much luck with the Mighty Mule types. Do you have an on line source for a commercial grade gate opener? Or at least recommend a brand that will hold up for more than year or two.
Thanks for your time!

Harvey, that'll require a very pretty truck to put that headache rack on.

That's really art work! Harv...you have a real skill and now have a nitch that not many can copy or do. Kind of like the "Tiffany of Iron".

Hmmm. . . Can we agree that this might be an entry in the Miller Challenge for 2011? Let's see them claim that this ain't art and utility all in one.

If you need low voltage because you don't have electricity at the gate I've had good luck with Patriots and Apollos. But if you can get 110 there the one that I love to install and maintain is Viking Access > R-6 | Residential Swing Gate Operator

Thank you very much for the link Harv! Yes he has 120-volts right next to where he wants the gate.
Just waiting on the blue print from his wife, I told him it's no problem to build a gate, but I can't design it for them.
