MF 1643
Well, I finally did it! After much contemplation, I am trading in my MF1533 and getting the MF1643 with hydrostatic transmission, 72" quick attach bucket, rear tires filled. I hope I don't regret it, but I think I got a very good deal, can't wait until it gets here!:D

Congrats!
Any reason for upgrading other than more power/newer model?

I wanted the extra horsepower and figured the 1643 will fit my needs better. I can't wait to get out and play in the dirt with it...but first it has to get here!!

I have contmeplated this decision for about 1 year, should I, shouldn't I, should I, shouldn't I.....dragged my feet last fall when they had the free loader program and now the free loader deal is on again so I went for it.

I have the fever something bad now. Just recently paid off my 1533 TLB. Its only 2 years old, still like new. Then on the other hand its kinda nice not sending Agco 400.00 each month.

You'll love it, i've had my 1648 about 3 weeks and have managed to put about 10 hours on it between all the rains we've been getting.

Now the fun part of buying equipment, having not had a previous tractor like you, I am way behind on the equipment acquisition game.

We have had our 1643 since last April and it is the bomb. No problems with it so far with almost 200 hours on it. It has plenty of power too. Hope you are getting the loader with it because of the many uses you will find with it...Enjoy

wait till you spend about 10 hrs. of seat time on it, the ride is so much better than the smaller 1533. the differance is like driving a yugo and a caddie.
and your lower back will like you better too.:cloud9:

It has been 2 weeks since I made the deal and I am still waiting for it to arrive. The wait is driving me nuts! I guess there was a shortage of the R4 tires and that is what is holding it up.:confused3: Last I heard, it was in Baltimore last week getting the tires and loader mounted. I am hoping that it arrives this week.

It's here! Maybe I will get a chance to use it tomorrow, 6-9" of snow predicted for tomorrow.

I see you got the same bucket I did, skid steer. It's supposed to be able to attach a grapple to, I just can't find the massey grapple to use on it.
I would be jelous but you have the samething I do....

Looks like I'll be putting it to work tomorrow, it is thunder snowing here like crazy. 3-4" of heavy snow on the ground already with 4" more tonight.

If I were you I would keep it inside so it will not get wet, after all it is not funny to plow snow and ride a new Massey:D
But for myself, my 1643 is already one year old and I can use it to plow or do any job I want it to do:eek: Have a nice day and have F U N . Roger
