Plasma cutting straight edge track.

I whipped up this little fixture to work with my doggie wheelchair plasma attachment. Lay the plastic "target in the trough and line the line up with the cut line. Clamp down fixture. Lift out plastic and cut. Works pretty good.

Thats pretty cool. :thumbsup: So where are the details? Where did you get the doggie wheelchair plazma attachment? Dose that work with a circle cutter also? Details, details please. How did you notch the aluminum for the wheels or did you hind it that way? Thanks, Sean

Wheelchair is the miller circle cutting attachment around $130. Aluminum extrusions are run of the mill hardware variety strait edge pieces (2). The kind that comes in two 4' pieces and a piece of wood to wedge them together for an 8' edge. I cut 2 pieces of scrap AL to space the two pieces apart. Used counter sunk screws and tapped the AL block.

I like the fact that you get built in standoff for the cutter.

OK. that makes sense. After posting I did some reserch and found the standoffs. I thought the alum pieces looked familiar but couldnt place where I had seen some like that. Then there's the custom site you made to aim it out of plexi. I'ma have too keep an eye out for some alum pieces so i can whip one up. I like how it is so easy to clamp down. I've read of someone modifying a torch circle cutter to fit his plasma so I wasn't shure how available they were for the plazma torches. Sean
