Hi all over the last year or so that i have owned my tractor i have been wishing that i had a hydrualic tipping trailer to go with it.

Well over the last 3 days i have built it its 7foot x 4foot with drop down sides and tail gate and a removable head board and corner posts so i can make it a flat bed

All i have left to do is put the board in the bottom

I connected it to the rear remote and lifted it tonight and just couldn't stop grinning ( i only just fitted the remote as well):D

Worked first time no leaks

And best of all i only paid 」10 for the wheels and axle that i rescued from the scrap yard and 」50 for the hydrualic ram from ebay and the new hydrualic hose was 」18 and 」5 for the quick release connector

Everything else i had kicking around so 3 days labour and 」83;)

Plus the valves and parts to tap the tractor hydrualics but i will class that as a different project as it has a lot more than one use

So in the morning if i can work it out i will post a few pics for you

:D:D:D still grinning :D:D:D

Definitely more pics. I am hoping to make a trailer very similar. Did you have a plan drawn up? I will probably use more wood cause I don't have steel laying around but I was wanting to do it like yours with how you can make it a flat bed.
Nice Job:thumbsup:

Good morning gentlement as promised i have taken a few pics this morning

As you can see the tail board is made to pivot from the top or bottom so it will fold down or up so i can let material out underneth

There are no plans for the trailer i just made it out of what i had it is the size it is as i used 2 of the sides from 14 foot trailer as you can see in the pics

I don't use the sides that often on the large trailer so sharing them won't be an issue

The tipping arrangement is a close copy from a trailer that my brother owns but modified to suit the ram i got from ebay

So just the wheels the paint and a sheet of board for the bottom
then it will be time to scratch it up:(

Almost seems a shame to use it

ps go easy on the mess the workshop is in:thumbsup:

Very professional build. Nice job. Thanks for the pics. I have an even bigger smile after looking at them. :)

Are you a professional welder? Looks like it.

About your "messy" shop. My wife longs for the day when mine will look as good as yours is now.

Thanks for the good comments im not a pro welder i had to teach myself

But i do some welding at work and have been welding since i was 12 when my dad let me help him. I now have kids of my own and when they ask i let them help to

The pic was taken in the cleanish area in the shop that i use for repairs and fabrication i set a 30x30 area aside for that i have a 4post ramp to lift cars and trucks in that area as well i use that to fabricate on as well as i don't have anyone to help me lift the heavy stuff so it helps being able to move it up and down to suit

The other end is the store/garage 60x30 and there isn't to much room left it is time i started tidying up

I will post you some more pics once i have the floor in:thumbsup:

That's a nice looking Trailer. Fantastic Job. You ought to see our shop. It's a mess. We got things piled in there so bad that we have to basically climb over things like riding mowers, push mowers etc just to get around.

Your shops clean compared to ours. lol

So now it has dried up a but it is time to sort out the garden and level the lawn if i dare to call it that as the last owner just let the grass grow up through what the builders left:mad:

Been here 7 years and the thenches are still sinking and the rocks are still growing:confused2::mad:

Anyway here you go not the best pics but the wife had the camara so i took these on the blackberry
