Larry Caldwell, you are correct. A lot of children are not raised now-a-days, they just exist. No morals, No values, No pride, nothing but a desire to feed that monkey on their back, and worst of all NO FEAR.
Our criminal justice system is broke. No room in the corrections system. I would hate to be a police officer these days. Arrest a thug only to arrest him or her again 6 months later. My son is a police officer. I tried to talk him out of joining the dept. but when I saw he was intent I supported him.
Also my wife works for the criminal justice system. She says the drug cases have increased to the point that they need to hire more personal to handle the paper work.
I carry with a CWP. One thing I don't want to lose is my pistol permit so I'm very picky about the company I keep. I walk away from a heated discussion. When you are arrested the first thing you will lose is your CWP.
Guys I'm totally against drugs, but they're here to stay.
Solution: build a 12 foot fence around old motels that are going bankrupt. Allow drug users to live in it with all the drugs they want. To regain freedom the drug user must piss clean for 6 months. Oh yea, an old backhoe and some pine boxes will be needed. Cremate um.

No, what happens is they go to join the other felons to be when they graduate from a few months to a year in the prison system's vocational trades program. There they learn how to make a "real" living in the world with skills and abilities that eliminate the need for further incarcerations...........God bless our country............Dennis

Actually I agree with that. I have a bad egg brother who is a case study in what you say here.

No room in the corrections system.

I live in Virginia, we have several facilities that have been closed due to excessive capacity. One has never housed an inmate and is a max security facility that was completed in 2009, iirc. It costs the state over $150000 per year in electricity, maintenance and maintenance staff.

Dennis, you might be right about the scrap metal aspect. You just KNOW a scrap yard has to suspect a kid with a load of good t-posts and other good fencing. It's like the copper thieves. Scrap yards have to know, but turn a blind eye. I was shocked to see on the TV news last week about a street with no operating street lights because thieves had stolen the copper wire.

There is a very good solution against thieves.

Make them work for and pay back twice the value for every thing they stole and then without exeption keep them working to pay back all cost of prosecution and incarseration before release.
Not wanna work!,then no food either.

If that don't changes their attitude than nothing will.
Second time around, penalty should be.. death!

putting them in jail helps no one.
