Watching the huge full moon rise and listening to the coyotes going crazy!!!
Awesome night. "Biggest" moon in 18 years.

Just a big diffused light in the eastern sky here. too many clouds on the Horizon. Darn.

No clouds here but was not that much different than other full moons.

I was all excited wanting, but nothing special :(

My son commented it looked smaller than other months he remembered, and he is only 12.

It was spectacular up here. Outstanding. I only remember one ever larger and that was in 1971 in Nebraska. I'd have to check the records on that one as to whether it was close to the earth then or if it just a recollection.

Glad tonight was clear. Used to hearing coyotes sing every night, but this is ridiculous!! :D

Just shot 2 coyotes. Great night! Called for 20 minutes and then they both broke cover. makes 11 for the winter season...

Very bright here too. The geese in the river were honking at 10 pm!

Waited, saw it, wasn't impressed. I have seen bigger harvest moons raising over the bay.
It was bright though.

Yeah, the coyotes were howling the other night near my place also. They're off in the woods and seldom seen, but they are still a nuisance to everyone.

How the moon "looks" to the naked eye, as it rises, is an illusion anyhow. The size, while nice, wasn't its primary feature to us. The closeness of its orbit was barely noticeable but its light show WAS spectacular.

Oh, I doubt we'd have known it was 4% "closer" to us but for, yes, the astro-media, in its boredom makes a big thing out of such things, but I didn't care.

The wife and I went outside and it was gorgeous and wonderful night. We still enjoy such things out here, in our Rural Living, because we remember far too many nights spent in the city where one never sees anything. In other words, we stop to take notice and we are grateful.
