Conoco Hydraulic Fluid

Despite various searches I have not been able to find a source for the Conoco hydraulic fluid our manuals call for. Has anyone compared specs with other brands to see what is available as a suitable substitute? Anyone know where the Conoco brand can be purchased? It is time to change my filter and I am consdering changing the entire system or at least having the correct fluid on hand if I need to replace what is lost from the filter change. Thanks.

I would go back to your dealer and ask. Tell him what you want to use and get something that says it is warranty approved, it is all about the warranty.

We sell it. Labelled Conoco/Phillips/76 all on the same bucket. You may want to search the other brands.

Yeah, I found it at a couple of places, but don't want to pay the price. Here's one I remember:

Fastenal

Called my dealer's parts counter and was told they only sell a product (can't remember the name) blended in somewhere in E. Texas, and that it was what they use to to do maintenance on all brands.

I MIGHT go with the Conoco as it's only 9 gallons for the S3010, or I might just stop by my dealer and pick up two 5-gal cans of the local stuff for $30 something each. Either seems like a pretty good way to make sure I don't have any voided warranty issues later on.

If you look at the fluids they cover it gives some space for error:

This was the advice I recieved, I used the premium trans/hydro fluid from TCS in my 360 DTC.

UTF was the consensus over on the FarmTrac board for my 3130DT.

Don't you wish that LS would encourage some super-users on these LS tractor boards to help us figure out this stuff!
