Not that tall.. The top chute was off and the inlet chute were off.
It was less the 4' for sure maybe less then 44"

Almost got the BX42, got the BMX42 instead. Great purchase, I just wish they made a 6" chipper/mulcher.

I've run the BX42 on my BX24 for two years now and it totally rocks! I got my used from Woodward, and they were great to work with.
Wallenstein makes a terrific product, and I imagine that their tillers are worth every cent.

Two things I did to my BX42 were to add star washers under the knobs on the chute, it was constantly dropping while chipping from vibration, not a problem but the chip pile kept getting closer. The second was to add a 4x4 under the legs on each side to level the drive line a little and give it a better footprint for soft ground.
As a final accessory I made a trailer hitch that goes between the legs to pull a small wagon with all my gear, brush cutter, polesaw and chainsaw along with fuel, oil, chains,and refreshments.
