You won't get all the sway out. You have to have enough play to be able to hook up and unhook implements.

The attaching points on the Yanmar arms may not be at the same point on the arms made for JD. You may need custom restraints. (chains)
Center the attachment behind the tractor. Measure distance center to center of attaching bolts. Make it even on both sides. Cut chain length and attaching hardware as close to this length as you can.

You could drill another hole in the 3pt arms a little further back and attach the chains there. That would give you the ability to pull the chains a little tighter.

Those chains have to be tight - yours are completely slack, so they don't do anything. I have threaded rods with turnbuckles in that position, so they can be tightened down solid. That is an ineffective system design unless there is some kind of macro-adjustment possible.

Thanks for the picture of the JD sway chain and measurements. I think I'll measure out the distance for the Yan Mar links. If it looks like the JD chains will fit, I'll probably breakdown and pay the $160 for the pair.

Put the horse shoe clevis in the link closest to the turnbuckle. That should get you where you need to be. Save the $ 160.00 for something else. :thumbsup:

Hopefully only as a last resort. Seems from your pics you could make what you have work just fine.
Please post a pic of your sway chain with ruler similar to the pic posted of the Deere chain. Sure would like to see you make the Yanmar work and save the $160.
