I bought a set of Sunpro mini gauges at AZ yesterday - 29.99. I have been thinking about a gauge pod installation since I bougt the machine. I guess I'm used to watching gauges all day long:laughing:

Anyway the Oil Psi gauge is not tapped into the stock sender yet - I need a 1/8" tee. Everything else is hooked up.

I also ran a 30 amp relay with 20amp fuse for any other aux items I may dream up. You will see spare butt connectors.

the pics do the story tellin'

So-as a newb, how does this change your user experience/machine functionality? Is oil pressure a reading I need imediAte access to? What will it signal beyond "need to get this back for service" shortly before I would have known anyway?

A transmission temp gauge would be handy . I believe the wiring
is in the harness , so that European models can run the display.
These BX's get hot ! Wish they had the B's cooler arrangement ....:(

Tachdriver,
LOL Yeah, my son has that one too, since I wouldn't get him a "Real" BX22 like mine. :tractor: I was referring to the gauges though. ;)
T-Man.

Go to any Auto Zone and they will have the mini Sunpro gage pack of three, they come in white face and black face. You cannot miss them

This is great. Thanks for sharing this. Of course, part of me gets pissed again now, as this reminds me how disappointed I am in Kubota for not having any useful gauges. But hey, problem solved.

Now, how about if you duplicate these gauges in the rear so that you can see them while using the backhoe? :D

great job!

Could you share how you made the gauge cluster? And do you plan to encase them totally? Thanks

I may enclose them later in the spring by making a fiberglass mold. Too cold outside to play right now.

Stay tuned for the next project:)

I started the tractor up several times since then and they are rock steady. I secured the gauge bracket to the cowl with three 3/6" steel pop rivets. I made a concave bracket and bondo'd it to the Sun pro bracket to follow the BX lines.

Pretty solid , yes.

Tomorrow the sun is supposed to show up. If it does then the next project will be launched........stay tuned all you Tractorites.:D

Why do you need xtra gauges? What will you do differently?

I will watch them :). Voltmeter tells me the alternator is good, Oil pressure over an idiot light is always good, and temperature gauge backs up the OEM.
